here’s the idea: i used to be part of a community on livejournal a couple years ago, where we used to send each other fandom-related postcards, drawings, and letters once a month. this wasnt limited to only fanart, but about anything that has to do with crafts or writing and can be sent by snail mail. (i got a drabble written on cute rilakkuma stationary once uwu)
its kind of like secret santa, really, just a little less secret. i was thinking of making it about comics in general since i love drawing young avengers and buffy fanart, but that might be a few too many people for me to handle
so my question is: who would be interested in sending out cute postcards every month to the batfam fandom?
(reblogging and spreading this and feedback would be very much appreciated!!)
every time I finish a piece, I’m really proud of it. I am still proud of it after a few days past completion. but then about a week or so (sometimes not even then, just a few days) later, I look at the same piece and feel that the art I drew is really not good enough. it loses the ‘I’m good at this’ feeling it gave me when I was working on it. upon looking at the art I drew about a week after completion, I notice my pieces are always full of mistakes and look really unprofessional overall. and then I end up hating my art.
that’s why I get jealous of people who remain proud of their hard work and effort no matter how many days, months, years it has been. here I am, wondering to myself why the hell I spent hours and hours drawing this crap.
